PixBuilder Studio 2.0 was developed as a free image editor that would offer not only basic features, but also professional-level ones. The wide range of instruments will satisfy even the most demanding users, because it is surprisingly rich for a free program.
To begin with, there are a lot of standard image processing features that are essential in any graphic software. They include rotating, resizing, cropping, stamp tool, clone tool, etc. Besides, the program features tools for adjustment of color, lightness and contrast of an image (Brightness/Contrast, Hue/Saturation, Color Balance, Levels, Auto Levels, Curves, Auto Contrast, Invert, etc.). Of course, it is possible to use various shape drawing tools and to apply various effects such as Blur, Sharpen, Dithering, Emboss and many others.
Moreover, there is also a good choice of selection tools, comparable to that of expensive image editing software. It is so easy to make a required selection with the help of Magic Wand, Lasso, Polygonal Lasso, Magnetic Lasso, Rectangular marquee, Elliptical marquee or Color Range function. In addition to this, PixBuilder Studio supports such advanced features as layers, transparency masks and gradients, thus enabling the user to get professional-looking images and illustrations.

The default palette of PixBuilder Studio is a full-color RGBA one, but a number of other palettes are available.
