Air2web is a decade old innovative mobile marketing company, which has been providing innumerable mobile communications designed to help companies grow their customer base and extend relationships with existing customers.
Air2web has been acquired by a leading mobile marketing and advertising technology provider for brands, advertising agencies, mobile operators and media. This means that air2web is now a fully owned subsidiary of Velti. The acquisition deal between Velti and Air2Web was officially declared on September 22, 2011. According to Alex Moukas, CEO of Velti, this acquisition of air2web is a great achievement in the history of Velti. He also said that this acquisition deal will strengthen Velti’s hold in US and provide improved access to carriers and verticals such as the financial service industry. The acquisition will facilitate velti’s expansion in India, which is the second largest mobile market in terms of number of subscribers.
The acquisition means that air2web’s customers will get the benefits of its services under the global reach and expertise of velti, which has presence in over 30 countries serving more than 2.5 billion consumers all over the world. Thirteen out of top twenty mobile operating firms in the world have run their campaigns with help of velti. In 2010 Velti platform had been used in more than 2700 campaigns by 825 brands, acvertising agencies, mobile operators and media companies.
