To say goodbye to the summer and welcome the autumn, Da Bruno Sul Mare, on Marbella’s Paseo Marítimo, celebrated the wonderful tradition of the Harvest Festival.
The Harvest Festival is held every year in many different parts of the world. It dates back to the 17th century originally when farmers would celebrate the end of the season. The farmers would sing, dance and play guitar, expressing joy of a year of work which they had completed.
Today it honours the same traditions and the festival marks the gratitude and joy of the farmers at the end of a year of hard work in the vineyards. The fruits of labour are appreciated, wine is very much central to the harvest festival also.
Each year the Da Bruno Italian Restaurants Marbella ( http://www.dabruno.com/en/index.php ) Group has seen this festival become more popular. Many guests love to come to the festival, each year more and especially those who love good wine.
This is a traditional event in which there was a wine tasting of the best harvest of the year, as well as a variety of tapas prepared specially for the occasion. As part of this wonderful occasion the Da Bruno Restaurants bring some of the recent wine which has been produced in the Cortijo de los Aguilares, in Ronda. Friends and guests sample this locally produced wine, which is delicious and sweet.
It is a tradition which is most enjoyable whether you are a visitor to the Costa del Sol or a resident here. In actual fact there are many mini food and wine festivals which happen throughout Andalucia from September to October, which relate to the Harvest Festival.
Some of these are tapas fairs, some are cheese fairs, some are ham fairs; there are quite a number of them for those who may be in the position to travel around, visiting these and sampling the produce.
Da Bruno Marbella Restaurants Harvest Festival Celebration has a great atmosphere and guests each year taste the best selection of wines of that year and delicious tapas.
Although this is a traditional event, the Da Bruno Italian Restaurants Marbella ( http://www.dabruno.com/en/index.php ) Group are renowned for the many social events, sports and charity involvements in which they participate each year.
To the regular guests and friends, it is obvious that the Da Bruno Group is continually searching for ways to be excellent in their local community as well as producing excellent food and service in their restaurants.
