Diabetes is a big problem today and it is attacking every age group, it’s severe and many factors that contribute to the problem are poor eating habits, constant stress, anxiety and genetic problems that make it hereditary. Diabetes can be prevented, it’s a serious health problem and its effects are far reaching. It can affect multiple organs in the body. If people got aware that how diabetes affects the body then they will be ready to adopt preventive measures.If it is not treated properly on the right time then it can affect the vision. The most common eye problem is glaucoma.Diabetes is a group of metabolic diseases in which the blood sugar level of a person becomes high.The body stops producing enough insulin or the body cells do not respond to the insulin produced by body.
The high blood sugar has symptoms like frequent urination, increased thirst and increased hunger.Diabetes can be varied in to many types:
Type 1 diabetes: when body stops producing insulin then this type of diabetes occur, the person requires an inject insulin in this.
Type 2 diabetes: it results from insulin resistance, in this condition the body cells fails to use insulin produced by body. Insulin deficiency happens in this. Gestational diabetes: it occurs when a pregnant woman, who have never suffered from diabetes before, have high blood glucose level during pregnancy.
There are some other forms of diabetes also exists such as congenital diabetes it occurs because of genetic defects of insulin secretion, cystic fibrosis-related diabetes, steroid diabetes and monogenic diabetes. Diabetes is treatable in all its foams and medications can be helpful in treating the problem. If diabetes is not controlled properly then it can cause many problems. Its long term complications may include cardiovascular disease, kidney failure, and impaired vision while its acute complications include hypoglycemia, diabetic ketoacidosis or nonketoic hyperosmolar coma.
Diabetes should be treated on the right time, the blood pressure should be controlled and lifestyle should be maintained. Smoking and drinking must be quitted and body weight should be maintained. Frequent urination, increased thirst, increased hunger are some general symptoms of diabetes and these may develop rapidly in type1 or type 2 diabetes. In type 2 diabetes these symptoms arise much slowly or sometimes absent. Diabetes is a dangerous disease. It should be controlled under any circumstances.
