Heartland Energy of Denver, Colorado has announced a new well S.C. Jonah #1 in Cleveland County, Oklahoma. The new well is scheduled to be drilled to a total depth of 10,200 feet to test the Simpson sands. Charter Oak Production Co. is the designated operator of the well while Heartland Energy Development Corporation.

Heartland Energy Development Corporation of Englewood (Denver), Colorado, announces the spudding of the S.C. Jonah #1 well in Section 22 of 6N 3W Cleveland County, Oklahoma. The well was spudded on 3/7/2010 and is currently drilling just past 2,000 feet. The well is scheduled to be drilled to a total depth of 10,200 feet to test the Simpson sands. Charter Oak Production Co. is the designated operator of the well while Heartland Energy Development Corporation is a 70% working interest holder in the wellbore.
The well targets the Hart, Hunton, Viola and Bromide sands that arte prevalent producers in the area. The prospect was discovered and controlled by well control and 2D seismic data.. The well is scheduled for a 24-day drilling program and Heartland Energy Development Corporation is excited about the potential of the well as it in an area of prolific production from both the upper and lower potential reservoir sands. The wellbore will be one of the few in the area that have been drilled to a depth to test the Tulip Creek, McClish and Oil Creek formations which can be substantial producers if found in a geologically favorable location.
