Moshe Lax first developed an interest in the diamond business during his visit to Antwerp as a child. He was accompanying his father, Chaim, who was known for his exceptional diamond cutting skills, and who was also responsible for designing and manufacturing diamond cuts for leading Jewelry brands globally.
It was in Antwerp that Chaim came across an opportunity to procure a supply of rough diamonds for the first time. This enabled Chaim to enter into the diamond business along with his son Moshe, and thus was born the Dynamic Diamond Company.
Seeing the rapid growth of Dynamic Diamond, Moshe Lax took his flourishing company to the diamond giant De Beers with a business proposal which they accepted and thus it became one of their youngest sight holder companies.
This move enabled the company to purchase a bulk amount of rough diamonds.
Later, towards the end of year 2007, Moshe entered into a luxury retail partnership with Ivanka Trump, who owns a flagship store in New York, besides selling exclusive jewelry in North America, the Middle East and China. The rest, as they say, is history.
Currently, Moshe Lax lives in New York City with his wife Shaindy and children. An avid music lover, he also writes a weekly column on neuropsychological besides contributing generously to various philanthropic causes.
