Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation, a global leader in diversified power management solutions, today announced that its Vehicle Group’s Automotive and Truck businesses in India are being consolidated into one operating unit. Krishnakumar Srinivasan has been named managing director of the consolidated business unit, reporting to Howard Liu, president of Eaton’s Vehicle Group in Asia Pacific Region.
“There are strong synergies that exist between Truck and Automotive, and combining these businesses in India allows us to maximize these advantages in the marketplace,” said Liu. “One of the most obvious is the shared customers both businesses serve, such as Tata. We can now accelerate a “Power of One” approach in creating new systems and solutions for the marketplace and better cross sell our wide range of product offerings in commercial and passenger vehicles.”
Srinivasan was previously Managing Director-Truck India at Eaton Corporation. In his expanded role he will have responsibility for both the automotive and truck product lines in India, including marketing, sales, business development, engineering, human resources, finance, supply chain and manufacturing.
Eaton Corporation is a diversified power management company with 2010 sales of $13.7 billion. Celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2011, Eaton is a global technology leader in electrical components and systems for power quality, distribution and control; hydraulics components, systems and services for industrial and mobile equipment; aerospace fuel, hydraulics and pneumatic systems for commercial and military use; and truck and automotive drivetrain and powertrain systems for performance, fuel economy and safety.
