Michelle’s Vintage Jewelry, the destination spot for lovers of unique and beautiful antique jewelry, has launched a series of videos shining a spotlight on some of the premier pieces in their collection.
The videos, available at http://www.youtube.com/user/msvintagejewelry, showcase in loving detail pieces ranging from the early 1900s through the 1970s. Pieces such as art deco men’s cufflinks, bakelite jewelry from the 1930s, and many others, are featured in an exquisite display accompanied by period music.
“Vintage jewelry has an elegant flair that is enchanting. Wearing it is like traveling back in time and trying to imagine who wore the pieces,” says Michelle Webb, founder of Michelle’s Vintage Jewelry. “What type of life did they live, and what was going on around them?”
Webb is a lifelong aficionado of history and of vintage jewelry, and her goal was to meld the two with her series of videos, bringing one of a kind pieces to life in pictures and music.
“I've loved antiques since I can remember. The first piece of vintage jewelry that captured my heart, was a Juliana bracelet from the 1960's. I still remember the way it sparkled and its bold look,” Webb said.
Webb frequently gives presentations on jewelry and history, such as a presentation that she gave abou Sweetheart Jewelry from World War II at the Minnesota History Center.
“The videos are a visual collective of some of my favorite and distinctive pieces. I am currently working on additional videos that explores the history behind the jewelry. My goal is bringing jewelry to life through history,” Webb explained.
Webb founded Michelle’s Vintage Jewelry in 2003, when, with the birth of her son, she decided to make a career change and find a job which would allow her to work from home. With her passion for history and retro jewelry, she realized that launching a vintage jewelry boutique would be the perfect fit for her.
