A new baseball championship on the West Coast is the new premiere destination for baseball teams in a number of states. The Continental Amateur Baseball Association is pleased to announce that the CABA baseball championship will be held in Wenatchee, Washington from the 24th to the 29th of July, 2012. The championship will be hosting fifty teams from the following locations: Alaska, British Columbia, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawai's, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington (state), and Wyoming.
Teams can now begin registering for the event through TopBaseballTournaments.com. Each team should be able to fly into Washington from their respective states in roughly two to three hours. The plane trip is short, and Wenatchee's accommodations are incredibly reasonable. Participation in the CABA baseball championship( http://www.topbaseballtournaments.com/ ) is an affordable venture that any family serious about baseball should be able to pay for. Families will be spending time together travelling from tournament to tournament at fields all over East Wenatchee and Wenatchee and thus will be spending less than they would be at a summer vacation hotspot like Disneyland.
Wenatchee, Washington is an ideal location to host a summer baseball championship. Not only are the temperatures in the mid to high 80's during the day (relatively temperate when compared to a state like Arizona), but there is always some way to cool off and spend time with friends around the Columbia River. Located within the Cascade Mountain Range, there is a wide variety of outdoor activities that parents, coaches, and players can take part in.
Each team (as well as their associated chaperones and family members) will need food and lodging while participating in the baseball championship. This will give Wenatchee a much-needed economic boost, and parents will be thankful for the city's affordable options. The Wenatchee community will also have the added bonus of being able to witness the development of real talent at a young age. Participants in the tournament are anywhere from eleven to fourteen years old and they all understand the importance of being included in a high-profile baseball championship.
The CABA baseball championship will be a truly historical event, and Wenatchee residents and visitors alike should consider themselves lucky. What began as a revolutionary way of running a game in 1984 (round robin play with a double elimination championship round) is now considered standard practice all around the world. Now Wenatchee can count itself amongst the cities lucky enough to host youth-oriented baseball championships in the Pacific Northwest.
