(PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico) January 3, 2012 -- Nacho Daddy Mexico, Puerto Vallarta’s premier sports bar, has launched into the 2011-2012 tourist season in grand style, thanks to the return of local “Tex-Mex” musical icon Joe King Carrasco and a host of special nightlife events.
Bar patrons at Nacho Daddy Mexico, a restaurant at 180 Basilio Badillo, in La Zona Romantica in the heart of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico’s top West Coast tourism destination, launched the new tourist season in stride with an El Dia de los Muertos costume party that brought out a packed crowd of partiers. Joe King Carrasco, who has been nominated for the Austin Texas Music Hall of Fame, returns for another season as the Thursday and Saturday night in-house regular at Nacho Daddy Mexico, cementing the bar’s reputation as the center of music and dancing action in Puerto Vallarta. Joe King Carrasco is the author of "Baby Let’s Go to Mexico" and hundreds of other tunes that recall the Tex-Mex trash rock of “Wooly Bully” and “96 Tears” but cut with Mexicali Carrasco' Hot Sauce. “I make my music for people traveling in Mexico,” Joe King Carrasco says.
Backing up Joe King Carrasco is Nacho Daddy’s own Sean Moore and the Texas Embassy Blues Band, which invites jazz and blues artists from around the globe to sit in for impromptu sets while in town. Together, the two bands have made Nacho Daddy the epicenter of Puerto Vallarta music and nightlife for tourists and Puerto Vallarta locals alike.
