AUSTIN, TX - January 10, 2012 - Newgistics, Inc. (www.newgistics.com), a leading provider of small parcel delivery services, returns management and freight shipping services, announced the launch of its new Flexship application today at the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition (booth #812), June 14 - 17 in San Diego. An easy-to-use label printing platform for small to midsize shippers, Flexship supports all Newgistics delivery and returns solutions, printing both delivery labels (BPM, Parcel Select, Standard Mail, Media Mail) and Newgistics SmartLabel® Parcel Return Service labels.
Implementing the Flexship application is free and fast for new and existing Newgistics customers, and the system is installed locally at the shipper's location, utilizing industry-standard hardware. For small and medium shippers who currently use a web-based tool to print labels one at a time, Flexship provides a significant opportunity to increase speed and efficiency by producing batches of labels in a local environment. Additionally, Flexship enables Newgistics customers to print labels with barcodes that combine order and tracking data. This data integration drives Newgistics' Transit TriggersTM technology, which helps companies improve the customer experience and increase productivity across departments.
As part of Newgistics delivery services, the Flexship application supports the USPS Electronic Verification System (eVS), an e-manifesting service that eliminates manual processes and streamlines the
processing of small parcel deliveries and returns. It connects to Newgistics' OneShip operating platform, sending manifesting information to the company's national network of SmartCenter® facilities. The result? Shippers using Flexship no longer need to invest in a shipping manifest system or pay to operate and maintain it.
