Now that it is a New Year the majority of Britons would like to find the perfect partner, according to a new dating in UK survey.
Findings by UKDate.com reveal that 50% of daters are optimistic about 2012 and think it is important to discover their soul mate rather than just date.
The study of 100 respondents showed that overall, people believe it is vital they find an ideal spouse over the next 12 months and that only 17% said it was not important.
According to the results, males are more positive to find a companion than women. Of those surveyed, 39% said it was very important to obtain a loved one in the New Year, as opposed to only 26% of females. However, both sexes agreed that it was important to obtain a lover, males (46%) and females (54%).
Those surveyed who are studying in secondary education differed from Britons undertaking a Higher Degree, as the survey found that that 57% of those in further education thought it wasn’t important in contrast to 13% of those in A level/ High school.
The study concluded that income did not make a difference with regards to people’s dating aspirations nevertheless, employment played a key factor. A massive 100% of those asked who are unemployed said that it was very important to find their ideal mate in the New Year whereas 67% of students said it was not significant.
