The desire to get very good page rankings on the search engines is the fervent desire of all commercial website operators. The fact is that good page rankings are likely to lead to good traffic and, provided their selling page is good enough, a high volume of sales.
In fact of course it is the other way round, website owners want lots of sales, which is often measured as a percentage of traffic. In order to get traffic a high page ranking is greatly to be desired. Getting one's website up the page rankings requires Search Engine Optimization (SEO) which is a never ending process.
