We seem to have forgotten that we need fiber, we should eat vegetables and greens which are either raw or steamed and that the fats and salts, while tasty are accumulating in our arteries and around our hearts and storing up trouble for us in the years to come.
Turning this problem around is going to be extremely difficult. Unless steps are taken to ban the advertisement of fatty and fried foods (not to mention Pizzas) and fizzy sugar filled drinks and start insisting on a health warning on the packages these things are going to continue to be advertised and the consumers are always going to act in their perceived short term pleasure and our fat problem will persist.
