St Thomas, USVI: Pirate’s Paradise Adventures, a St Thomas boat rental and charter company announced today that it has entered a partnership with Nigel’s Beach Bar on Smuggler’s Cove, Tortola, to create and serve a special rum cocktail exclusively available to Pirate’s Paradise Adventures customers.
“Pirate’s Paradise Poison” is a blend of three kinds of fresh fruit and three different rums -- and a few secret ingredients -- that was created by the Pirate’s Paradise Adventures’ crew and Nigel of Nigel’s Beach Bar. While “researching” the perfect blend of rums, fruits and spices together on the sugar sands of Smuggler’s Cove on Tortola, they came up with what they felt was the perfect concoction to honor the the union of the two groups. “Hey, somebody had to suffer through all those rum drinks until we could find just the right blend,” said charter company owner Brian Woeller. “It wasn’t easy...there’s no power to the beach. We had to use a generator to run the blender. Still,we powered through, because our guests deserve their own signature drink. We hope that when Pirate’s Paradise Adventures’ customers meet Nigel and enjoy his fantastic cooking and our delicious rum cocktail, they will have a day they’ll never forget - certainly one they may not remember.”
The relationship began when Pirate’s Paradise Adventures’ Captain, Stan Good, discovered Nigel’s Beach Bar and began bringing guests to the tucked away paradise. Nigel delivered a fantastic experience for his guests and a friendship quickly formed between the two. Captain Stan introduced family, friends, and the charter boat company’s owners to Nigel and his beach bar and it wasn’t long before trips to Smuggler’s Cove and Nigel’s Beach Bar were a top request among Pirate’s Paradise Adventures’ customers. “People wanted something that’s not too crowded, not too commercial” said Captain Stan Good. “They wanted to relax and experience a true Island vibe -- that most tourists don’t get to see. Nigel’s may not be as well known as the Soggy Dollar, or Foxy’s - two famous bars in the area...yet... but not one of our customers have left Nigel’s without falling in love with him and the experience they have there.
And the feeling is the same with Nigel. “Much love, much respect. That’s what we bring to each other and to our businesses. Captain Stan and the whole Pirate’s Paradise Adventures crew is like family to me, and I love to make their customers happy. Happiness is what life’s all about.”
Nigel’s is not only remarkable because of it’s exotic location, tucked upon Smuggler’s Cove on the north side of Tortola, but because of how the bar and grill operates. Each drink is served with a boisterous “boom, boom boom!” from Nigel and you pretty much keep the tab yourself. The new signature drink, “Pirate’s Paradise Poison” is a special, “secret” blend of rum, spices, and three kinds of fresh fruit. “We included strawberries in the recipe because the boat, Red Beard, is red, so the drink had to either be red or garnished with Red,” said Woeller. “Depending on your tastes, Nigel will modify the drink to exactly how you like it, because that’s how we both do things...we make sure our customers have the best experience possible.”
