Practiced in the techniques and methods of traditional fine arts, such as painting and drawing, Jennifer Epprecht encompasses a myriad of mediums and themes in her approach. Precise and pristine in fine, angular lines yet dexterously mutable with sumptuous, curvilinear shapes, Epprecht is bold in her exploration of the human experience. Basing her work in the realities and nuances of life, the artist courageously explores the oscillations of the everyday in a poignant, varied exquisiteness. While her paintings and drawings are pragmatic, she seeks to impassion her motifs with the affluence of her imagination, yet root her work in the mysticism of realism, thus instilling in her works with a sense of innocent intrigue. Imbuing her works with a distinctive sensitivity towards symbolism, Epprecht’s works always contain more than what immediately meets the eye. “I want to retain some sort of mystery because the reason I choose these images is rather mysterious to me as well,” she says.
As a child, Jennifer Epprecht spent a considerable time abroad, discovering the richness of the world and its diverse inhabitants.
