Ripple Carbon Neutral Massage since Sept 2007, in conjunction with Origin, has offset 100% off all carbon emissions from providing massages in the South East Queensland region.
“Global warming is an issue that every Australian business should address,” said Alison Shaw, Managing Director of Ripple Massage. “If we don’t reduce greenhouse gas emissions, there is a risk that the Earth will heat to a level which could seriously affect life on our planet.
“Politicians seem crippled with talking at lot and not doing very much to address such a critical issue.”

For example, carbon emissions come from the massage therapists driving to the guests’ accommodation or home in S.E. Queensland, and electricity is used in the washing and drying of the towels. Ripple now offsets these emissions by supporting Origin programs such as accredited GreenPower and energy efficiency and other initiatives.
This will happen automatically, with the cost being absorbed by Ripple. Ripple’s guests do not have to pay extra for this offset, just be satisfied in the knowledge that their massage is having a carbon neutral effect on the environment.
