Windsor, Ontario— Advanced Basement Systems of Chatham, Ontario has selected Debbie and Brian Devereaux as the recipients of their annual "Pay it Forward" program. The charitable event is the brain child of Advanced Basement System Founder Martin Bates. "We live and do business in a wonderful community, a large community made up of many smaller ones where the spirit of helping each other is something to be very proud of" says Bates.
Debbie and Brian Devereaux live in Windsor and a dirt floor basement is causing horrific amounts of moisture in the basement. Mold is also a serious health issue in the basement. The home will need isolating from the earth, humidity reduction and control and drainage. The unfortunate reality is that the Devereauxs, like many in our communities, have fallen on difficult financial times and would find paying for the repair to their home almost impossible. "I could tell when I met with Debbie and Brian that things were not good and when I gave them the news on how extensive the repair would need to be and the associated cost, they were devastated." I immediately came back to the office and explained to Martin that the Devereaux's should become the recipient of our 'Pay it Forward' program" explains Gordon Pickel, Production Manager with Advanced Basement Systems.
On November 23rd & 24th 2011, Advanced Basement Systems will "Pay it Forward" bringing stability back to the Devereaux's home and hopefully give them the encouragement to carry on through difficult times.
