ActiveAppliances.com reports an increase in range and oven repair requests. Consumers have an increased need for functioning ranges and ovens at home. People who are used to eating out are starting to cook at home and discovering that they need appliance repair done before they can start cooking.

To compensate for going to restaurants Americans are trying to cook recipes for dishes found in menu items one might find in upscale restaurants as opposed to common dishes.
Bakeries are seeing a slowdown in customer traffic as well. Dessert item recipes are among the most popular downloads, especially cookies. Americans went back to basics and have resumed baking at home. Naturally this has caused an increase in oven repair requests.
