Hirschmann Mobile Machine Control Solutions (MCS) is keeping up with the times – and not only where products and services are concerned, but also in terms of optimizing its internal processes and activities. The company recently obtained two important certifications: for compliance with DIN EN ISO 14001 on environmental management and with DIN EN ISO 9001 on quality management (the latter standard celebrated its 20th birthday in 2011).
The special thing is that the company’s customers benefit from both certifications! This is because they prove that Hirschmann MCS not only complies with all valid national, European, and international rules, but also develops and monitors internal steps to improve reliability and sustainability. This lets all customers know that they can depend on the products and services of Hirschmann MCS – that they are of top quality and produced and provided without burdening the environment.
The DIN EN ISO 14001 certification shows that Hirschmann is fully aware of its responsibilities to the environment and future generations. This is the internationally acknowledged standard for implementing effective environmental management systems. The corresponding certificate documents that Hirschmann MCS balances business success with environmental protection. By investigating, monitoring, and steadily improving the environmental compatibility of its activities, services, and products, the company lastingly optimizes its environmental balance sheet. It has developed a procedure for systematically defining and achieving environmental goals. It prescribes minimum standards for processes to ensure that companies provide products and services that satisfy both customer expectations and official and legal regulations. This helps Hirschmann MCS make sure that its customers always receive the required level of quality. DIN EN ISO 9001 only applies to the quality and reliability of how products and services are provided; it does not certify products per se. The eight principles of quality management are customer focus, management responsibility, involvement of the relevant individuals, a process-oriented approach, a systematic management approach, continual improvement, objective decision-making, and mutually beneficial supplier relationships.
