LAN Systems, a leading Atlanta computer support company, recently presented a Windows 7 workshop at the Cornerstone Bank in Decatur, GA. The event is part of the Microsoft Community Connection program and was sponsored by the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce.
The improvements, enhancements and time-saving features of Windows 7 were showcased. These included improved security, robust backup and searchable libraries. The program is not only for businesses considering an upgrade to Windows 7, but also for Windows 7 users. Many tips to make your computing experience more productive and pleasant are included.
A segment on making social media work for your business was included. The overview discussed how to use social media to promote your business and a Q&A session. This is a topic on the minds of many business people and the audience had many target questions on the benefits of various social media platforms.
"LAN Systems is committed to business efficiency," said CEO Mary Hester. "Windows 7 and social media are two ways that companies can become more productive, efficient and relevant."
Social media topics included LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and blogging. Emphasis was placed on the most used and most effective types of social media and the strategy needed to run a successful social media campaign. Often, getting started and understanding the time investment is the most difficult part. Several discussions on how to begin a social media campaign were included and attendees had a chance to have their specific questions addressed.
