Colorado Assisted Living Homes points out that more than 100 exhibitors related to health, long-term care, banking, senior support, entertainment, fitness, leisure, food assistance, pet services, advance planning, etc. participate actively in this senior event every year. The Salute offers informational programs and live entertainment throughout the day. Topics such as health care reforms, maximization of health and fitness, planning for end of life, etc. are discussed by experts in these fields in the Salute. The entertainment activities include dance lessons, American bandstand, retro movies, bingo, etc.
Entertainment and Educational Information Combined at the Salute
Toy trains circle the track to bring out the child in the elders. The toy trains blow their whistles, climb over mountain inclines, navigate tunnels, and stop at the depots along the rail track. The exhibitors give out present to all the seniors visiting their booths and stalls. Items highly useful to seniors and residents of assisted living facilities in Colorado, such as orthotic shoes, remodeled bathrooms, walk-in bathtubs, covered gutters, etc. are displayed by the exhibitors.
