Yale Home Security has collaborated with schoolchildren from St. John Bosco Catholic Primary School in West Bromwich, to gain a valuable insight of a child’s view on security within the home.
The schoolchildren were invited to design an advertisement for Yale’s products and services, with 29 entries in total. Catherine Stock-Haanstra, Yale Category Marketing Manager, said: “This was a fantastic opportunity to work with the local community and in particular create a relationship with a primary school nearby. We enjoyed looking at all the entries and believe we gained a new perspective on how children view security within the home.”
The partnership comes on the back of the launch of Yale’s new website, Yale Digital, which enables customers to choose security products online and have them delivered straight to your door, via the Digital Store. Home security products available include Yale’s revolutionary new SmartHome Alarm, which can turn on a light in your home when an intruder trips a PIR outside, as well as digital door locks, fire safes and wirefree alarms.
Sophie Lauren Perry, aged 11, was chosen as the winner of the competition. She received £50 for her school and if she is chosen as the overall winner, which was run in conjunction with other local businesses, she will receive an impressive £500 for her school. All 29 entrants were also given heart or football padlocks from Yale Home Security.
The winning design was published in The Express and Star’s “Design an Ad” special supplement on 29 March.
