As the new 2012 Moto GP season begins, Tissot Watches have released a new range of watches in celebration of the sport and their ambassadors.
Both Moto2 rider Thomas Luthi and MotoGP ace Nicky Hayden who this season will be competing for Ducati MotoGP have new watches from the Swiss Manufacturer.
In the final pre-season tests taking place in Jerez, Luthi was one of only two riders to break through the 1 minute 42 second barrier. Italian Claudio Corti completed a lap of the circuit in 1’41.983 and was just 0.004 of a second ahead of the Swiss rider.

The Nicky Hayden Tissot Watches Special Edition was launched on 29th March. The watch exudes an exciting and vibrant energy of the racing scene and portrays the Ducati team colours with its two-tone silicone bracelet featuring red base and an aerodynamic white racing stripe. The rear of the new Tissot Watches special edition features Hayden’s “69” racing number engraved on to the case back.
Taking its inspiration from bike parts the watch features a bezel that draws its form from that of a brake disc. The strap takes up this trend, with an initial portion based on the design of motorbike suspension systems. The rear of the silicone strap features a raised pattern that alludes to that of a motorbike tyre.
Similar looks feature on the Thomas Luthi Limited Edition. These watches feature an engraved number 12 and the racers name on the back of the case. Produced in a limited production run of just 999 pieces, these watches are sure to sell out quickly.
