"“ ‘LOFT’ is the acronym for ‘Living Outrageously For Today’. The phrase best describes what I feel is a person's search to do something others might consider as "outrageous." "
Ted Trent, real estate entrepreneur in Downtown Los Angeles and founder of www.LoftLivingLA.com, has set course to win possibly the most important television reality show of all time. As Oprah Winfrey prepares to pass the baton, Ted has joined thousands of others across America competing for the chance to become a major media star – one committed to making a difference on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
TV legends Oprah Winfrey and TV producer Mark Burnett have teamed up to launch a star on the new Oprah Winfrey Network (www.Oprah.com). For hopefuls, the first step is this reality show contest to find the program’s host. Candidates must earn sufficient popular votes from the general public by submitting a three-minute video that demonstrates their style and content approach.
You can view and vote for Ted’s entry right now by visiting the online site, http://www.TeamTedTrent.com/. Press the word, "VOTE" to keep him in the race by visiting http://www.TedTrent.com/.
Ted’s many friends and colleagues are united in their belief that his love and concern for people, his interview capabilities, his warm and genuine response to people and their dreams, and his understanding of both technology and personal transformation make him an ideal television host in the Oprah mold.
Ted Trent says his journey to be a television talk show host began in college where he studied Communications. Twenty years later, he feels his preparation is about to pay off in a huge way: "For the last 4 years, I've been working on a show concept called, ‘Living Outrageously For Today,’ " states Trent.
"I discovered the idea when I began to embrace my career as a real estate agent. I sell and rent lofts and condos in Downtown Los Angeles. My clients include some of the most interesting, famous, and creative types who dream big. Clients want to start businesses, pursue art ventures, build their own clothing companies, and pursue dreams that have been consuming them for years," Ted continued.
"For the last 10 years, I've been coaching people how they can use mixed use homes to pursue their dreams. One of my clients just bought a 1250 square foot loft where she hopes to launch her own mobile bakery business."
"Then there is Art Wolff. He had the dream of living in an artist loft and teaching his acting class from home," he says. He is an accomplished television director and acting coach who is known for teaching legends like Sean Penn and directing hits like Seinfeld. Ted helped him find the perfect loft and loft-living lifestyle.
“I can't explain the excitement people have when they are looking for loft-style living. I've learned it isn't necessarily the living space that fully excites them. The process is more about the possibilities of living in a space that doesn't make them feel confined or separated from their pursuit of a dream," Ted continued. "By default, I've become a friend, mentor, coach, relationship analyst and life dream expert.”
“ ‘LOFT’ is the acronym for ‘Living Outrageously For Today’. The phrase best describes what I feel is a person's search to do something others might consider as "outrageous."
Ted is pursuing the launch of his television show because he believes it's possible to pursue your dreams and "outrageous" life-style from the comfort of your living room couch. Though lofts and big cities are cool, they aren't necessarily the right solution for everyone who wants to live the loft life-style. "Dreams begin in the heart and thrive in your head. Realizing your dreams can happen anywhere," Ted concluded.
In a very real sense, Ted Trent is pursuing his own outrageous dream, and is fully intent on making the dream a reality – with your help.
