A new blog to prevent and control diabetes was launched recently. This blog is a complete guide and discusses every aspect about the disease, including signs of diabetes, pre diabetes diet, ac1 levels, etc. This information guide was in response to the alarming rate of people who have been diagnosed with the deadly illness.
It is said that about one out of 9 people between the age group of 18 to 69 have diabetes. That's about 11 per cent of the population. Changes in lifestyle, food habits, and stress and are major contributors to these figures. "As the old Arabic proverb goes, ignorance is the worst acquaintance. When people know about the factors that contribute to the problem, subtle lifestyle changes that can control the problem, the caloric value of the foods that they intake daily, and other such factors, they are more efficient in combating the problem," says Susan Lee, the brainchild behind the blog.
The blog deals with varied factors that influence the problem, such as types of diabetes, information on HbA1c, ideal A1c levels, conducting A1c tests, equipments and machines to check and regulate the problem, effective alternative methods, and even latest findings on the disease, and even discusses about controversial subjects such as diabetes reversal. People can also get to know about pre diabetes diet and symptoms based on categories (women, men and children).
"Diabetes has reached endemic proportions in countries across the world. The economic implications of a diabetes outbreak can be disastrous. It is a known fact that diabetes can cause complications such as blindness, nerve damage, kidney failure, heart disease, limb amputations, etc. By ignoring our current statistics on diabetes, we are creating a negative influence on young minds that are already torn between two cultures, that of the west and their own," adds Susan. With this blog, people can easily identify problems and issues that concern them and look for solutions that are suited for them.
