Any time you need an attorney it is important you find an attorney that is experienced in that particular area of Law that you are involved in. There are quite a few attorneys that try to turn their hand to any aspect of the Law, which can be disastrous for their client Arash Khosandi says. At the Law Offices of Arash Khosandi they stick to the areas of Law they know, having the expertise to represent their clients to the optimum they deserve; they specialize in Personal Injury, Lemon Law, Dog Bites, and Slip and fall.
Each of these areas are specialized and if you retain an attorney that has little to no experience in these areas of Law your case can suffer greatly and even a strong case can be weakened by poor representation. Arash Khorsandi suggests that when you are seeking an attorney for any type of representation one good way to find an attorney is to contact the State Bar for your area as they can give you a list of attorney's that practice in the areas of Law that concern you. You can also find out how long they have been licensed and whether there have been any disciplinary actions against them. You may think that that this may be over the top but when are putting your faith in someone's hands to represent you need to be sure that they are capable of representing you in a way that will bring about the best results for you.
For example with a Dog Bite case, if the attorney is not extremely familiar with the Law in these cases you could lose out because the attorney didn't know that the Landlord of a tenant that owns a dog that has bitten you could also have some liability, or if a handler and not the dog owner that was in charge of the dog at the time of the incident could also be liable. Most people would normally just look at the owner for damages. All of these different areas of Law have nuances that if missed can seriously weaken an otherwise strong case. Even attorneys that have been referred to you should still do your research into their background in regard to how long they have been licensed and the type of cases they usually handle. Unfortunately it is very difficult as well as costly to salvage a case that has not been handled well from the beginning.
As with anything that requires a license there are different levels of experience and you should not assume that because someone is licensed they are automatically qualified to represent you. Anytime you need an attorney it is usually because you have a problem and are under a certain amount of stress, so the last thing you need is to add to that stress by not having adequate representation.
