Original, offbeat, visually charming yet slightly disturbing - no it's not Gangnam Style you'll be glad to hear, it's the newest development from Kwalee, originally codenamed BLT, the game has now officially been named 'Farm Fighters'.
Farm Fighters sees a radical shift in the development output from Kwalee, it's the first game using original game mechanics and physics, and in terms of the game art, and gameplay it's a huge leap forward for the company whilst all the time keeping in line with the ethos of creating fun multiplayer games. The game is based around animals at war and features original gameplay, multiplayer via Facebook and email, an impressive armoury of weapons, farm yard sound effects, wacky cartoon animals and the cherry on top, fully customisable characters.
Players have the option to take their character from a lowly barnyard dweller to a fully-fledged fighting machine, by taking on friends in the two-player option or battling it out against random opponents to work their way up the pecking order.
As you can see Kwalee's team of artists have been hard at work over the last few months to create engaging, loveable characters that can be adapted to the players personal preferences allowing tailored and more engaging gameplay for the customer. Customisation of the characters will come in the form of accessories and weapons for the player's fluffy warrior, making them stand out from the herd and put the fear of God into any opponent brave enough to enter the farm.
Pete Hancox one of the programmers at Kwalee has been heavily involved in the design and the building of the environments in which these loveable farmyard critters dwell, and he had this to say:
"Without tooting our own trumpet (can you have a communal metaphorical trumpet?!), it's been a lot of fun working on this awesome farm related frenzy. I'm looking forward to the response once we blast open the barn doors"
Farm Fighters is the brainchild of experienced lead designer Adam Philbin, responsible for number one hit games including: Traffic Panic 3D, Golf Putt Pro 3D and the highly acclaimed PC game X2: The Threat. Adam has brought his own brand of humour to the game aided and abetted by the hard work and dedication of the entire team.

About
“I’d love to work in games, but I'm not sure in which area yet. I'm enjoying the testing experience and I also believe I have art skills that I could develop into a career. I’ve always been a big fan of Halo, so designing a successful character like Master Chief would be amazing.” Jessie and John Darling have been assiduously testing Kwalee’s next game release, Pussy Flip, available on the Apple App Store next week.
