Dr. Bryan Selkin, MD, co-founder of the Center for Dermatology and Cosmetic Laser Surgery, has been awarded the prestigious "Best of Big D" award for Dermatology, presented by the renowned D Magazine for the second straight year.
The award is determined by a peer-review voting panel consisting of 312 doctors, the nomination form asked participants to base their votes on the question, "Which Collin County doctors would you trust with the care of a loved one?" The overwhelming response validates Dr. Selkin's commitment to his patients' needs.
With regard to his philosophy on patient care, "I have increasingly focused my practice on prevention of skin disease whenever possible, with the goal of trying to avoid skin problems from developing in the first place," said Dr. Selkin. Patient education and involvement in treatment decisions is emphasized. Procedures, protocols, and techniques are chosen to give the best results with minimal invasiveness, the fewest possible side effects, and the quickest recovery.
