The On Foot Or Wheels Travel Writing Competition
Write a travel feature of 600 words to 1500 words about any place you have visited in the world, or that you are living in as a foreigner. We are looking for travellers and writers alike, you do not need to consider yourself a writer, we are looking for fresh, genuine experiences. Writers and bloggers are also very welcome of course!
As the name of the competition suggests On Foot Or Wheels - your travel experience or living abroad story can include any type of holiday or life in another place story - package holidays, caravan holidays, backpacking, luxury holidays, living abroad - anything goes.
We are looking for articles with personality, unique information, adventures, food experiences, cultural observations - anything that is fresh, unique and useful. If you are living abroad it can feature how you have integrated, or not, as the case may be - we are very interested in real life stories, whether positive or negative. The article can be detail-rich or can focus on a particular experience, or experiences, that you have had.
The choice of approach is yours; what is important is that the article is interesting and unique.
If you have been on a package holiday or touring around a country or countries, or live abroad, we welcome any experiences that you have had. The articles can detail any or some of the following:
