The Kansas City patients struggling with cancer in the bladder need not lose hope - Kansas City Urology Care (KCUC) has launched an extensive diagnosis program followed by premier treatment facility for bladder cancer.

KCUC informed running a complete history & physical examination of the cancer patients. The bladder cancer patients to the hospital are sent for a host of different clinical tests like urine cytology, CT Urography or IVP, Cytoscopy, Tumor Marker examinations and FISH. "We always follow a comprehensive clinical examination routine for a complete diagnosis of the cancer status in the patient", noted one of the esteemed physicians from KCUC.
The physician also informed about the leading causes of bladder cancer in humans stressing that the trend is relatively prominent among Caucasians, especially men. According to him, cigarette smoking is the strongest risk factor here accompanied by exposure to the industrial chemicals, family history, severe bladder inflammation, high calorie diet or radiation or chemotherapy taken for another cancer.
While approached regarding the treatment, one of the major KCUC personnel from the Bladder Cancer department explained that the treatment procedures depends on the patient's age, health, cancer stage, tumor type, grade and tumor stage. He added, "Surgical treatments are usually recommended in most of the cases. We either involve the TUR operation to remove the cancerous tissues and at times Partial segmental Cysectomy or Radical Cysectomy is performed when the cancer has spread further".
The patients are also recommended for radiation therapy with the intravenous chemotherapy if the cancer is invasive. "The other bladder cancer treatments from KCUC are immunotherapy and rehabilitation programs by a seasoned and caring rehab team", commented another spokesperson.
