Babette's Cafe the Atlanta restaurant that specializes in French fine dining has announced a wine tasting event on the 21st of March 2013. The event is in honor of winemaker Tony Coltrin and shall feature some of the best wines endorsed/ crafted by him including the Oberon Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, Hangtime Chardonnay, Hangtime Arroyo Secco Pinot Noir, and Spellbound Petit Sirah Reserve. Guests are requested to make their reservations early as they're expecting all seats to be booked. They can also book online through the restaurant website.
"We've set our back patio with long tables. Each of the four wines shall be paired with a small appetizer prepared by me," says Chef Marla. She has more than three decades of experience in the industry and has attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. As for the wine set out for the event, "each of these is of exceptional quality and has won rave reviews on wine review sites," says a spokesperson for Babette's Cafe.
The French approach to food is characteristic of their appreciation for the finer things in life. Contrary to popular opinion, French cooking isn't complicated; it is very simple. Rather than masking the flavor of the ingredients, the technique focuses on bringing out their essence. This is how food is served at Babette's too. They concentrate on serving simple yet unique food. All their dishes are reminiscent of old world delights- carefully braised meats that are locally sourced and made using traditional culinary techniques, yet with a hint of the exotic. "I want everyone to savor the same Mediterranean flavors that I grew up with!" adds Marla.
