Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, announces immediate availability of the MIC23163 Series of Buck Regulator with HyperLightLoad from Micrel.
The MIC23163 is a high-efficiency, 4MHz, 2A, synchronous buck regulator with HyperLight Load (HLL) mode and maximum 100% duty cycle. HLL provides very high efficiency at light loads and ultra-fast transient response which makes the MIC23163 perfectly suited for supplying processor core voltages. And additional benefit of this proprietary architecture is very low output ripple voltage throughout the entire load range with the use of small output capacitors. The tiny 2.0mm x 2.0mm DFN package saves precious board space, requires only three external components, and has an operating juncture temperature range from -40°C to +125°C.
Applications include cellular modems, mobile handsets, portable media/MP3 players, portable navigation devices (GPS), WiFi/WiMax/WiBro modules, digital cameras, wireless LAN cards and more.
