Fractora is one of the most advanced fractional radio-frequency treatments available, providing targeted, efficient results for younger-looking skin. Los Angeles surgeon Dr. Peter Goldman, a diplomate of the American Academy of Dermatology, recommends the procedure to those looking to address various skin conditions.
Dr. Goldman, who practices at Goldman Dermatology & Laser in California, is well-versed in various cosmetic dermatology treatments, including laser procedures, injectables and skin care. Unlike older methods, Fractora's cutting-edge technology allows for the targeted rejuvenation of delicate facial skin, with a faster healing time.
Fractora is a non-invasive and natural-looking approach to improving skin's appearance and texture, as well as correcting irregularities, according to Goldman. Along with eradicating blemishes and diminishing wrinkles, the patient's facial skin will also look more toned, lifted and supple following a Fractora treatment.
The procedure's fractional radio frequency technology is responsible for its remarkable results. During the Fractora treatment, targeted radio frequency energy is delivered into the skin through an array of ultra-fine pins. The tiny micro-lesion dots created by the pins allow for heat to treat the localized area without negatively affecting surrounding skin tissue.
This results in a substantially faster healing time than if the entire area had been ablated. Unlike surgical procedures, Fractora does not require incisions or cuts, so there is minimal down time and discomfort. Its gentle heat permeates sub-dermal tissue, prompting the production of collagen, Goldman explains. This, in turn, rejuvenates and improves skin's appearance.
Fractora's collagen-boosting technique is ideal for patients looking to fade facial scars, and improve the appearance of discolored red and brown skin tones. The procedure also improves the look of deep wrinkles and tightens skin. Fractora is ideal for treating areas such as the lower eyelids, upper eyelid, cheeks, smile lines and mouth.
