HCC awarded contracts worth Rs 634.79 crore
Leading infrastructure and construction company, HCC has announced that it has secured two contracts worth Rs634.79 crore from Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (MoRTH) and Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (HPPCL).

Mumbai: Leading infrastructure and construction company, HCC has announced that it has secured two contracts worth Rs634.79 crore from Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (MoRTH) and Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (HPPCL). Earlier, the company was awarded Rs393 crore contract from MoRTH for widening of 65.87 km section of NH-233, on the Indo-Nepal Border.
“HCC has received three major orders totaling Rs1028 crore in last fortnight that includes two EPC orders from MoRTH and an order from HPPCL,” informs Arun Karambelkar, President & CEO, HCC Ltd adding that the company with its expertise and dedicated team is poised to leverage on opportunities in the infrastructure space.
The award in transportation segment from MoRTH involves 4-laning of 50.5 km long Numaligarh to Jorhat section of NH-37 in Assam. The project worth Rs454.89 crore is part of the Special Accelerated Road Development Programme for North Eastern Region (SARDP-NE). the scope for work for HCC includes rehabilitation, upgradation and augmentation of the existing carriageway, major and minor bridges, culverts, road intersections, interchanges, drains, etc.
The second contract worth Rs179.90 crore is in the hydel power segment. The order from HPPCL entails balance works of Head Race Tunnel of 111 MW Sawra Kuddu Hydel Power Project in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh.
