Aika Trading, a successful importer and distribut006Fr of high quality European designed bicycling products, announces that both the Yepp Mini and the Yepp Maxi have recently received the “2014 GOOD DESIGN AWARD” from The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. “It is an acknowledgment of our unique way of working which is resulting in increasing international success,” said Michel Krechting, Managing Director of GMG, the manufacturer of Yepp in The Netherlands.
Both the Yepp Mini (front seat) and the Yepp Maxi (rear seat) are made from the same soft, shock absorbing and water-resistant material. They have a good fit, enabling a child to sit very comfortably and come standard with five point safety harnesses. The Yepp mini is suitable for children up to 33lbs (approximately 9 months to 3 years) The Yepp maxi is suitable for children up to 48lbs (approximately 9 months to 6 years). In addition, the Yepp Maxi has been rated by the Official Dutch Consumers Association as both “Best in Test” and “Best Buy” for 2014.

Founded in Chicago in 1950 by the former MoMA (Museum of Modern Art NY) curator Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., together with pioneers in modern design. GOOD DESIGN honors the yearly achievements of the best industrial and graphic designers and world manufacturers for their pursuit of extraordinary design excellence. From the several thousand submissions from over 48 countries, more than 700 product designs are worthy of the “GOOD DESIGN AWARD” for their Design Excellence in 25 different categories, such as Medical, Textiles, Hardware, Office Products and Children’s Products. The Yepp mini and Yepp maxi have won the award in the last category.
