The Murata Type ZY module is a highly integrated Bluetooth version 4.1 module based on Dialog Semiconductor's DA14580 chipset. Internal to the module are the power supply network, fast clock, and most impressively an integrated 2.4GHz antenna contained within the encapsulated package.
Murata's type ZY Bluetooth SMART Module (part number LBCA2HNZYZ-711) supports the Bluetooth v4.1 BLE standard. All protocol stacks required for Bluetooth low energy communication are built in, including various healthcare profiles. Besides the on-board PCB antenna, the Type ZY module features low current consumption, and ibeacon support.
Typical applications include sensing nodes, health and fitness, medical devices, wearables, smartphone peripherals, remote controls, proximity tags, and wireless gadgets.
