Award-winning Topeka senior living community Aldersgate Village has announced newly renovated age-in-place homes to facilitate a better independent living for elders. The refurbished Bracken Court cul-de-sac cottages speak of latest technology monitoring features.
“We are glad to announce that presently we have renovated our Bracken Court cul-de-sac cottages for a more advanced independent living in Topeka KS. Our contemporary age-in-place homes boast of 61,900 sq. ft. cottages backed by integrated adaptive technologies & open-floor plans layered in high-end features. We have also incorporated state of the art technology monitoring systems to ensure best possible comforting safety & security,” stated the senior manager from Aldersgate Village.
The century-old retirement living community is a unit of United Methodist Homes & has been serving the Topeka sector since 1904. The sprawling 431-unit campus houses 176 apartments, cottages & garden homes for independent living & 59 units for assisted living. The 196-bed nursing facility provides senior nursing care in Topeka Kansas for physical rehab, dementia care & sub-acute nursing services.
The manager also reported on their renovation of main lobby & reception space in Manchester Lodge for furthering a community-friendly & flexible space for the independent living residents. The newly-opened dining room Esther’s Place displayed a premier seating arrangement with tasteful designs & inviting views.
Speaking of the independent living services, a senior care provider from the community emphasized on assistance with– housekeeping, laundry, chaplain services, emergency nurse call, basic cable TV, postal service, maintenance of building & grounds & 24/7 security. Seniors in assisted living are also provided medication & bathing assistance, 3 chef-prepared meals daily according to specific dietary requirements & supervised meals under registered dietician.
“We offer educational, spiritual & recreational programs for our seniors so that they can lead a meaningful life in an active & constructive way,” added the care provider.
