June 22, 2010 - The Group A standings says it all. France and South Africa face an early exit from the tournament after their poor performances in their previous games. Both the teams now clash at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on June 22nd for a survival. Even a win here will never guarantee their chances of making it to the next round. But this game can turn around at any time, so both the teams would like to put up a commanding show in their final match of this round. Uruguay and Mexico are certainly the favorites to make it to the next stages of the tournament from Group A.
Betting sites favor neither of the teams, France and South Africa, to make it to the Round 16. Though their chances are slim, fans are pretty confident of a miracle taking place around. France has certainly been very disappointing in this tournament. Being the finalists of the 2006 World cup, fans expected a lot more from France. After the exit of Zinedine Zidane, they never looked like a team to threaten anyone. They were unable to register a win in their five international matches after his exit. Since 2002, this is the first time that France couldn’t score a goal in their previous three international games. Having been eliminated in the three of their four previous World cup that has taken place outside Europe, they face an early exit in this tournament too.
South Africa, on the other side, started off very well in the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Mexico but failed miserably against Uruguay losing to a 3-0 score. With that heavy loss, they may become the first host nation to have not qualified for the next round of the knock out stages. They looked out of sorts against Uruguay. They lacked the team commitment. They could have certainly done better with the home support backing them. Fans are highly disheartened with their performance. It’s a great opportunity for them to turn the tides around against a scratchy France side.
World cup promotion has already been taking place with great exuberance. Site owners are blessed with the fans betting progression. Innumerable gift coupons, bonus code, voucher codes and so on are put up in their sites to draw more visitors. This is the right season for them to make their living. With a number of upsets in the tournament already and few big guns facing an early exit, the site owners couldn’t have asked for more than this. This has certainly made the betting process more fascinating for the football fans to bet on their teams.
With the tournament reaching the next knock out stages, this match turns out to be a crucial battle for both the teams. A big win for any of the teams could make their chances a little bright to make it to the next round. Both the teams should deliver their best and hope that the other match in their Group turns out to be in their favor!
