Established in 2001 by husband and wife team Rufus and Charlotte Pearl, Pink Lining brings the latest and arguably the best in mother’s bags for the busy and fashion conscious mother. Charlotte has direct experience in the fashion industry having worked in Fashion PR and at Condé Nast. Add the busy lifestyle of a mother of three young children and Charlotte is exceedingly well placed to combine fashion and functionality – something that was clearly lacking in the mother’s and changing bag industry at the time of the birth of her first child.
Charlotte originally designed and hand stitched her own change bag to meet her own needs and to fill that gaping chasm in fashion and practicality. Receiving great response from friends and other mothers, Charlotte was commissioned to weave her creative magic into designing some more bags.
Enthused by this glowing reception, Charlotte sent her designs to buyers at several prestigious stores and was rewarded by leading stores commissioning her work – Harrods placed a large order with items being 90% sold out in the first week. Pink Lining was officially born and today Pink Lining moves from strength to strength as a thriving business.
