Atlanta, GA--When Nathan Deal won the Republican primary for Governor of Georgia in August, he did so in large part by running a television ad that attacked YouthPride, an organization that supports gay and lesbian youth. For the executives at Penn Multimedia, a search engine optimization and online reputation management firm, attacking an organization that helps prevent teen suicide was the last straw. Now, the company has pledged its resources to fight Nathan Deal’s campaign for GA Governor in November.
According to the Penn Multimedia website: “Every so often an individual's actions are so heinous, so spiteful, and so vindictive, that no matter where you stand on the political spectrum you feel a moral obligation to get involved. “
The search engine optimization firm purchased the domain NathanDealEmbarassment.com, and says it is in the process of creating a website for the domain. The company has also purchased NathanDealSucks.com and NathanDeal.info, and says it plans to use its Internet prowess to flood the web with information showing Nathan Deal as ethically challenged and morally corrupt. Nathan Deal was recently named by the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) as one of the 15 most corrupt members of Congress.
Normally a for-profit company, the campaign against Nathan Deal will be Penn Multimedia’s first pro bono venture. According to the organization: “Nathan Deal’s tactics of scapegoating gays and lesbians may have won him the Georgia Republican primary, but now it's time that Georgians of conscience stand up and make sure he pays the price for his despicable political tactics. We intend to do just that.”
