Murfreesboro, TN – Mingleplay Inc., one of the newest social game developers today announced that its first game, “5Life” has now entered closed beta, and is preparing to launch their game on the Facebook platform within weeks. 5Life is a new type of social game on Facebook, which Mingleplay is touting as a “Next-Generation Social Game”. One of the main features of 5Life is a fully player run economy, which will be the first of its kind on Facebook. Typically, most games that feature a player run economy are those left on the PC platform such as MMO style games. One other notable feature of the game is a reward system, in which users can exchange their in-game money for real world prizes such as iPods, laptops, and gift cards. The big question that everybody has been asking is what exactly IS 5Life?
“5Life is a brand new concept we are testing out for the Facebook market, our idea is that, if we give players the ability to run their characters the way that they want, than the possibilities are endless. Players will be able to have their own house, run their own company, craft their own products and even meet up with their friends at the club to hang out. 5Life is more than a 2D isometric second life style game; it embodies so many new ideas for the social game industry that simply have never been introduced before. We are really breaking new ground here, and we know that the Facebook community will respond to the quality of the product we are presenting.” Says Ryan Haidinger, the COO of Mingleplay.
Mingleplay has been in active development of 5Life since January of 2010, and is now putting the final touches on their product. 5Life is planned for release end of August 2010, and will be announcing a grand launch event with prizes soon.
