"Their company mission is to focus exclusively on providing quality LED linear light solutions to their customers. "
Redbird LED, an Atlanta, GA. firm that specializes in the design, manufacturing and distribution of energy efficient LED linear lighting for commercial buildings, is working on a multi-year lighting retrofit project for Trinity Presbyterian Church. The Church founded in 1949, has grown from less than 150 members to a congregation of more than 2000 members. In addition to providing the Christian Gospel to its growing base of constituents, Trinity Presbyterian Church is committed to being a steward of the economy and respectful of earth’s resources.
The Trinity Presbyterian Facility Department and Sustainability Committee have actively implemented a number of environmentally responsible programs including recycling programs, reduced use of cleaning chemicals and updating outdated HVAC equipment. The church contacted Redbird LED to conduct a lighting audit and analysis of their lighting systems. Redbird LED recommended that Trinity Presbyterian Church retrofit their existing fluorescent lighting (32 watt) with the longer life and more energy efficient LED linear lighting (16 watt).
Trinity Presbyterian Church will receive many benefits from using LED linear lights in their facilities. LED linear lights are more environmentally responsible because they contain no mercury, use less energy than conventional lighting and have a life span of more than 50,000 hours. The results are lower energy bills, reduced maintenance costs and no recycling concerns. Property Manager Greg Hoopes was thrilled with ease of installation of the LED Lights, the energy savings and also the reduced cost and time needed to maintain lights. “Our long term plan is to convert all of our lights to more energy efficient lighting. We are looking to utilize LED lighting technology for as many lighting applications as possible.”
