However these conventional surgical options have the drawbacks of being invasive, requiring long hospitalization and being painful. However over the past decade, the scene has altered with a growing trend towards minimally invasive treatment options. Radio Frequency (RF) and cryo-ablation are the most popular and acceptable forms of tumor ablation with newer techniques like High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and radiation gaining acceptance.
