24th August 2010, Harrow, London: i-Technosoft Corporation announced the official availability of Microsoft Office Web Applications 2010 for its Hosted SharePoint Customers during the last week of August. This innovative technology developed by Microsoft will enable customers to instantly edit, print and save Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote documents online without Microsoft Office being installed on the workstations. The new Office 2010 suite in conjunction with SharePoint 2010 are Microsoft’s initiatives to bring Office into the era of “Cloud Computing” a trend promoted by Google and others away from traditional software being installed on PC’s.
i-Technosoft revealed a dedicated web-portal last week (http://demo.i-technosoft.co.uk) to demonstrate the capabilities of Microsoft SharePoint Foundation in collaboration with Microsoft Office Web Apps. A record number of visitors came through social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook and YouTube after the information was released.
