"Harmony Healthcare and Seven Hills Behavioral Institute Plan to Host 'Voices for Recovery'"
In honor of Recovery Month, Harmony Healthcare and Seven Hills Behavioral Institute proudly present an event devoted to support families whose loved ones are struggling to overcome substance abuse problems - whether it is an addiction to alcohol, prescription drugs, or illegal drugs.
On Friday, September 17 and Tuesday, September 21, between noon and 6 p.m., Harmony Healthcare and Seven Hills' professionals will be on hand to talk with visitors on treatment and recovery. They will provide visitors with information about substance abuse and codependency. Visitors may use screening tools and collect informational and educational materials. This event supporting those seeking treatment and those in recovery is open to the public.
Now in its 21st year, Recovery Month brings people in recovery and people who support recovery together to celebrate the positive effects of treatment and living a life of sobriety. Continuing throughout September, Recovery Month celebrates the benefits of substance abuse treatment for families and communities, sending the message people can and do recover from all forms of substance abuse.
Sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and coordinated by thousands of local treatment programs, Recovery Month acknowledges rehabilitation programs' and emphasizes, "Recovery Month serves to educate the public on substance abuse as a national health crisis.” Recovery Month events and discussions should encourage families and communities to expand and improve access to effective alcohol and drug abuse treatment.
