With a whole bunch of news to report on Guild Wars 2 from Gamescom tasty tidbits continue to be thrown out to fans, now in the form of screenshots of the Necromancer class. Three classes have been official up until now and the Necromancer looks equally, if not more, interesting as the rest.
The Necromancer, a master of the dark-arts, will have four skill sets including wells, minions, marks and fear. Wells are spells used on a player's location, minions can be summoned to help the Necromancer, marks can be placed on the ground damaging an enemy in a particular area and fear is just plain good old-fashioned fear which can be inflicted on an enemy. They will be able to wield such weaponry as axes, sceptres and daggers in their main hand, and in their off hand a dagger, focus or warhorn. A staff can be wielded with both hands.
As you might expect Necromancers have some skills unique to them, one of which involves the prolongment of death. Using a 'Death Shroud' Necromancers can turn any life force they have into a second health bar, helping them cheat death if they are killed in battle. If they do get killed then they will appear in a shadow-like form, though it's up to players if they use the shroud.
The other classes which have been known up until now have been, Ranger, Warrior and Elementalist, all of which have their benefits and all look equally as fun.
So which one will you choose to Guild Wars 2 gold?
