UBL is offering a new method for professionals to be listed on search engines, distinct from their company’s main listing, adding increased online visibility.
It solves a widespread problem of confusion about individually listing such professionals as doctors, lawyers, accountants, realtors, insurance agents and architects, whose identities are often hidden-under or merged with their corporate name. This is frustrating for consumers who may know the name of their practitioner but not the firm or clinic.
UBL’s Professional Group class of listings work by leveraging established methods for isolating professional listings as they are distributed by entities such as InfoGroup and Acxiom which are the main database providers to the local search publishers online and on mobile devices.
This method also conforms to best practices as advised by sites such as Google*. UBL’s listings are distributed to over 300 locations in the USA such as the major search engines, online yellow pages, social networks, mobile devices and 411 directory assistance.
The professional class of listings will be priced at the same $30 a year rate as UBL’s regular business listing syndication. Corporations with such professionals, and the agencies that represent them, will be able to send the listings in bulk to UBL for this special handling.
In announcing the service at Search Marketing Expo in Seattle, UBL President, Chris Travers said: “The service should raise the visibility of professionals, and allow for universal distribution of these listings which up till now were only possible on a few search engines for knowledgeable local search experts. This represents a simple system for practitioners in the tens or thousands.”
There will be 45 approved classes of professionals, as defined by the underlying database providers, for business listing distribution. It includes veterinarians, bankers, insurance agents, medical practitioners, dentists, architects, engineers, real estate agents, attorneys and therapists.
